A celebrant is like your personal ceremony architect. We create bespoke, heartfelt ceremonies that celebrate your love story and style. Think of it as a ceremony that’s as unique as you are – without the boring, one-size-fits-all script!

Can a celebrant legally marry us in England or Wales?

Accepted Answer

Although there are ongoing steps to reform marriage laws in England and Wales, currently, celebrants cannot complete the legal registration of a marriage.  To legally tick the box, you will need to attend a registry office. This involves a short, simple signing at your local register office, and then your celebrant-led ceremony can take centre stage!

How do I legally register my marriage?

1.    Give Notice: You must give notice at your local register office at least 28 days before your legal marriage. This involves declaring your intent to marry and providing valid ID and proof of residence. 
2.    Register the Marriage: Book a short legal ceremony at the register office with two witnesses. This can be a simple, informal event—no frills necessary and no need to exchange rings! Cost c. £55.

Where can celebrants conduct ceremonies?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely anywhere! Beaches, mountains, gardens, barns, forests, historic landmarks – you name it, I’m there. You’re not tied to licensed venues, so you can celebrate your love wherever feels most special to you.

Permission must be sought from appropriate landowners.

Can I get married on a beach or a mountain?

Yes, yes, yes! Whether you’re envisioning a sunlit shoreline or breathtaking summit views, I’ll help make it a truly memorable and magical moment. Unusual locations are no problem—just bring your sense of adventure!

What qualifications do you have?

I’m fully trained and accredited by the Academy of Modern Celebrancy. With heaps of experience, extensive local knowledge, and a flair for storytelling, I work to bring your vision to life and ensure your big day is unforgettable.

No worries—that’s what I’m here for! Start by getting in touch. We’ll chat about your ideas, your story as a couple, and how we can craft the ceremony of your dreams. From there, I’ll guide you through everything from structure to final touches.

Can we include our dog/kids/favourite hobby in the ceremony?

Absolutely! Whether it’s your beloved pooch playing ring-bearer, your kids helping with a sand ceremony, or adding touches of your shared hobby, we’ll make it personal and memorable.

How much does it cost to work with you?

Accepted Answer

Each couple and each ceremony is unique. Fees vary slightly depending on what your vision is and the location of your wedding or elopement, but start at £650.
